Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Team Sports Ledger (“Service”, “we”, “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By signing up, you confirm you meet this requirement.

Team Sports Ledger is a financial management platform for youth sports teams. It allows treasurers to collect fees, track expenses, manage budgets, and maintain audit trails. The Service is provided via subscription.

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Ensuring the accuracy of data you enter into the platform
• Obtaining consent from team members before adding their personal information

You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account at hello@teamsportsledger.com.

Access to full features requires a paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe. You authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.

A 14-day free trial is available for new accounts. No credit card is required during the trial. At the end of the trial, you must subscribe to continue using paid features.

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — no refunds are issued for the remaining period.

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Founding member rates are locked and exempt from standard price increases.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to facilitate fraud
• Misrepresent financial data or create false records
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or copy any part of the Service
• Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications
• Resell or sublicense the Service without written permission

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without notice.

The Service enables treasurers to collect fees from team members via Stripe. You are responsible for ensuring fee amounts are accurate and that you have authority to collect funds on behalf of your team or organisation.

We are not a party to transactions between treasurers and parents/members. Any disputes about collected fees must be resolved directly between the relevant parties.

When using Stripe Connect to receive payments directly, you agree to Stripe's Connected Account Agreement in addition to these terms. We collect a 1.5% platform fee on payments processed through Stripe Connect.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.

You retain ownership of all data you input into the Service. You grant us a limited licence to process and store that data solely to provide the Service.

All software, design, trademarks, and content of the Service are owned by Team Sports Ledger. Nothing in these terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you.

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance with or without notice. We are not liable for any loss resulting from downtime.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Team Sports Ledger is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of data, loss of revenue, or financial errors.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Team Sports Ledger from any claims, losses, or damages (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, fail to pay, or if we discontinue the Service.

Upon termination, your access to the Service ceases. We will retain your data for 30 days after termination before deletion, except where required to retain it by law.

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
